Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 7, 2026

1. Introduction

Stuff N Things LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Build With AI platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you visit our website, create an account, or use our services. By using Build With AI, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Platform.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account Information: When you register through Clerk (our authentication provider), we collect your name, email address, and profile information. If you sign in via a social provider (e.g., Google, GitHub), we receive the profile data you authorize.
  • Payment Information: Subscription payments are processed through Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your payment card details directly — we do not store your full card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment credentials on our servers. We retain only a Stripe customer ID and subscription status for account management.
  • Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the Platform, including pages visited, courses accessed, video watch progress, lesson completion status, and time spent on the Platform.
  • GitHub Username: If you are a Builder or Agency tier subscriber, you may optionally provide your GitHub username to receive access to private course repositories.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Account Management: To create and maintain your account, authenticate your identity, and manage your subscription status.
  • Course Access: To grant you access to the courses and content included in your subscription tier and to track your learning progress.
  • Email Notifications: To send transactional emails (via Resend) including welcome emails, subscription confirmations, payment receipts, and important account updates. We may also send occasional product updates, which you can opt out of at any time.
  • Progress Tracking: To record your course progress, lesson completions, and achievements so you can resume where you left off.
  • Payment Processing: To process subscription payments and manage billing cycles through Stripe.
  • Platform Improvement: To analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve course content, Platform features, and user experience.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third-party services to operate the Platform. These providers may process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies:

  • Clerk — Authentication and user management.
  • Stripe — Payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Neon — PostgreSQL database hosting for application data.
  • Resend — Transactional email delivery.
  • GitHub — Private repository access for eligible subscribers.
  • Cloudflare — CDN, DNS, DDoS protection, and security services.
  • DigitalOcean — Application hosting and infrastructure.
  • Discord — Community server for subscriber communication and support.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party. Data is shared with these providers only as necessary to deliver our services.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your account and application data is stored in a Neon-hosted PostgreSQL database. The Platform is hosted on DigitalOcean infrastructure located in the United States. All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted in transit using SSL/TLS. We implement industry-standard security practices including access controls, secure authentication tokens, and regular security reviews to protect your information. While no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, we take commercially reasonable measures to safeguard your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

6. Cookies & Tracking

The Platform uses cookies that are essential for authentication and session management, provided by Clerk. These cookies are necessary for the Platform to function and cannot be disabled. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or sell data to ad networks. We do not use Google Analytics or similar third-party analytics platforms that track individual users across websites.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request that we update or correct inaccurate information.
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data and account.
  • Data Portability: Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal information from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records (such as payment transaction history) to comply with legal, tax, or regulatory obligations. Stripe may retain payment records in accordance with their own data retention policies and applicable financial regulations.

9. Children's Privacy

Build With AI is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information as promptly as possible.
